I love this McDonald's. I'm a huge fan of the retro kitchy decor, and this one hasn't changed since I was little and still living in the area. Very friendly people working here and the food has been good everytime I have come in : )

Kinda disappointed this location is now charging for condiments? I never once had to pay for 25 cents for a little ranch or BBQ tub.. It was just a strange request, especially being McDonald's makes what millions!? I also asked for a plain sandwhich so I could dip my sandwhich. But the girl at the second window was very nice and hooked me up with some ketchup- so I'm thankful for that. It's just quite pathetic of McDonald's to save some extra cash when they already make tons of money.

Made a stop for restroom and lunch. Men's room was filthy and needing updating. No toilet seat covers or hand towels so I had to use toilet paper to clean off a layer of dirt on the seat. While there I noticed a rusting out door frame. As I began to wash my hands the soap dispenser fell open because the scotch tape didn't hold it closed. Only one sink poured water. I turned around to dry my hands and those machines were rusted out. Whatever happened to the white gloves inspections McDonalds was known for? This franchise owner needs to invest in his business. The outdoor road sign has weathered and needs replacing. The gardens were overgrown with live and dead plantings the cup lid dispensers at the self serve station did not work as designed. I and others both reopened the doors to reach in and grab a lid which mans we were touching other lids just to grab one. It was dirty inside overall and most definitely a poor representation of a McDonalds franchise.

As far as McDonald's go, this is one of my favorites to visit. It's known locally as 50's McDonald's because it's got the vintage feel on the inside. It's decorated with photos of actors and entertainers of the past, along with tons of artifacts from the rock n' roll movement. As far as employees go, they seem to employ a pretty good group of people to work here. My order has never been wrong in the drive-thru or when I eat in, which gives them credibility. The workers are always friendly. Working at a fast-food place isn't glamorous and it's not easy, so I really respect what they do. This is a great McDonald's to bring a kid. There's a play place for them in the back of the dining room and I think they'd enjoy looking at all the cool items on the walls.

This McDonald's is the worse on the weekends!! Every time I send my husband there for breakfast they always screw the order up. I just sent him up there to get me the Sausage & Egg biscuit combo. With a medium sized coffee. Number one, he had to call & tell me they had no coffee. Apparently their machine is broken. This is not the first time something in that place has been broke. Their Orange juice machine has been broke for over 3 yrs. I am not kidding. And instead of having someone come out & fix it or just purchasing a new one they just started ordering the bottled ones. Well, today instead of the Sausage & egg biscuit that I asked for I got the Egg & bacon one. Unfortunately my husband did not want his receipt. Since we get so many of them. So when I called them to let them know they screwed up my order the young girl on the phone said I needed my receipt to get what I wanted. And I know that is policy. But really, most Fast food places usually tell you to come back & get what you wanted. With no problem. They just want the customer happy. Which is what they should do. In my opinion. Yes, it is my husband's fault for not saving his receipt. But I honestly think since by time I had called them it was already about 8 mins till breakfast food being over with. So they just probably did not want to have to make more for me. Cuz like I said, most fast food places would have just remade it for the customer. Also I would like to say their play area for kids is always filthy. We took our daughter in there to play one morning before church. She was wearing white shorts & went into it & came out with chocolate all over her shorts. I complained to management & she said the night crew are the ones that clean it. Well apparently they do nothing. Nothing but complete lazy people working in that place. Completely pathetic. Everyone in there does no more amount of work than what they get paid. Which in my opinion is why they do not deserve better wages. Ever. I'll never go in there again.

One of the better Micky D's. Always quick and friendly service. Always meets my standards for McDonalds.

The 50s McDonalds calls itself "the fastest drive thru". That is correct. However, they consistently serve sloppy food and do not provide completely accurate orders. The Big Macs consistently look a complete mess! Everything for the sandwhich is in the box but 50% is not on the bun. If you order a chocolate sundae, you have to ask for a spoon and nuts. Otherwise you may only get one or no spoon at all. Pancakes don't automatically come with a fork, syrup, or butter. Straws don't automatically come with drinks. The 50s McDs should do itself a favor and buy some whoppers at the van born and telegraph BK. Their whoppers look like you could take a picture and submit the pic to a magazine. If you are in a hurry, this place is okay if you don't care about quality. Otherwise, find another McDs to spend your money at. One last pet peeve about the drive thru at the 50s McDs. They hand you change by giving you the dollars first and then the coins. Inevitibly, the coins slide off the dollar bills to fall outside the car.

Ahhhh, 50's McDonald's. This is one of those fast food places that is trying to be retro. I'm not really seeing the 50's thing, but out of the multitude of McDonald's in the area, I find this one to be the more satisfactory. The drive-thru line moves fairly quickly, even when it's piled up five or six deep. The staff has always been nice, offering a smile and happy to see someone smiling back. (I've never understood people who are mean to the drive-thru people. Lighten up and realize their job is likely a lot worse than yours.) I've only had one or maybe two orders messed up here, which in the grand scheme of things is a great percentage. The food is McDonald's, so I can't really comment on it. If you've had McD's, then you're fully aware of how it is. I will say that it is rare that I get a bad batch of fries or a stale burger from this particular branch. It's as fresh as fast food is likely to get. I also like their sweet tea batches better than most. A side note, during a summer night, there is likely to be a large number of classic car people parked here and roaming about the parking lot checking out each others' rides. Just be aware of that. Otherwise I'd say this is your best bet McDonald's in the area. P.S. - Newman is a big hit in the drive-thru. He has yet to receive a cookie, but his hopes remain high that perhaps one day he will.
